Kansas City Chiefs State They Are Aware of Domestic Violence Allegations Connected to Player the Athlete
The Kansas City Chiefs released a comment on Wednesday evening stating they have knowledge of domestic violence allegations circulated in social media posts by a ex-partner of player Rashee Rice and had been in communication with the NFL.
The organization omitted the name of Rice by name in their statement and noted they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

Dacoda Nichole Jones, who also did not mention Rice directly, posted a series of photos on Instagram that appeared to show signs of physical abuse. She stated the individual in question was the parent of her kids, and reports indicate she has two children with Rice, whom the team drafted in the second round.
Official Complaints Reportedly Not on File
No police reports were available in Overland Park, Kansas where the alleged abuse is said to have occurred.
Rice's Prior Legal Issues
The receiver was absent for the initial part of this NFL campaign following an NFL suspension for his involvement in causing a crash on a Dallas highway that left several individuals injured. Rice was given 30 days in jail and five years’ probation after entering a guilty plea to felony charges.
Statistically, Rice concluded the season with 53 catches for 571 receiving yards and five touchdowns as the Chiefs finished 6-11 and failed to qualify for the postseason for the first time in a ten-year span.
